Since dentists usually need to have x-rays of your teeth and mouth on file, it will save you money if you stick with the same dentist each time you go. Therefore, choosing a dentist should be seen as a process, involving thought, research and evaluations of factors such as location, expertise, professionalism and courtesy.
Depending on your needs and dental problems, you may have a special purpose for seeing a dentist and would therefore need to consider finding a dentist who specializes in that procedure. When you first begin calling dentists to inquire about their credentials, ask about their education, licenses and certifications – as well as areas of specialty. This will help you find the dentist who can best serve your needs.
In addition to an area of specialty, you should also take into account the location of the dentist and preferably find one close to your work or home to maximize convenience, such as a Palo Alto dentist if you live in that area. The dentist’s personality is very important as well, since seeing a dentist can often be a nerve-racking (if not terrifying) experience to some people. Make sure you find a dentist who you feel you can trust and be comfortable with, since having work done on your teeth or geting dental implants may require you to relax your body and mouth even when you feel tense – or even use nitrous oxide to extremely reduce pain or discomfort. Of course, evaluating your options based on price and insurance needs is also a major factor in choosing the right dentist for you. If you can find one who takes your insurance (or who you can afford) that also makes you feel comfortable and has all the credentials you need, you have found the right dentist for you!
There are many types of sexual transmitted infections (STI’s) that can be contracted. STI’s are infections that are contracted by skin to skin contact, anal, oral or vaginal intercourse. There are many different types of STI’s including herpes, HIV and hepatitis B but the most common STI is the human papillomavirus (HPV). HPV is a problem for both men and women. The infection can go undetected for a long period of time but that does not mean that damage is not being done.
In fact there are several forms of HPV and the most serious forms of HPV in men do not have any early warning signs. The symptom most associated with HPV is the appearance of genital warts. But not every form of HPV has genital warts as a symptom. Genital warts are an outward sign of an HPV infection. The warts appear in clusters. They can be found in the genital area, in men they are usually on the tip or shaft of the penis. But they can also be found in the scrotum area, as well as around the mouth and in the anal area.
The effects of the disease on women have been well documented; HPV in women can lead to cervical cancer. But men also are at risk for serious complications due to HPV. Cancer of the penis, anal area, head and neck are possible due to an HPV infection. Men who engage in sexual activity with other men are more likely to develop anal cancer as a result of an HPV infection. There are not always early signs of anal cancer, but any anal bleeding, itching, pain or discharge should be addressed with medical attention. Penile cancer also often has no early signs however changes in appearance to the penis or any growths, thickening of the skin or sores should be reported to your physician.
Wow, I'm blown away at how fast I can clean windows, tables, bathrooms... Yeah, you get the idea. I'm not here to rehash the infomercial. I just want to let people know, the damn thing works as advertised. Who woulda thought? I haven't tried the steam mop thingy, but I just might give that a try next.
If you are on the fence about it - give it a try. Pretty damn cool little device. You'll clean faster, everything you touch is sanitized, and it's even sorta fun to use. One thing not mentioned on the TV commercials or the web site (GetSharkSteamer.com) is that if you have "hard water" you will need to use distilled water. I don't know much about water, but I'm guessing it's disolved minerals...maybe from well water? Anyway, if you have that - keep in mind there will be an extra step in using this thing. I'd still say it's worthwhile.
One other thing, the web site is over priced - just like the TV ad. If you want a discount, here it is for $64.99: Get Shark Portable Steam Pocket Coupons & Discounts. If any of you have a negative experience with the portable steam pocket, add a comment below. I'm curious if everyone likes it as much as I do. I'd also love to hear from someone with the mop!
